Heat Pump Project, Innisfil
A New Mitsubishi Heat Pump for Heating and Cooling
We installed a new Mitsubishi heat pump system at a home in Innisfil to give it efficient heating and cooling from one system. The job covered both halves of the system: the outdoor unit, mounted on wall brackets along the side of the house, and the indoor equipment inside.
- Equipment: Mitsubishi heat pump
- Location: Innisfil, Ontario
- Scope: Full installation and commissioning
- Completed: October 2026
Step 1
Mounting and Connecting the Equipment
The wall brackets went up first, with the electrical disconnect and the drain line placed beside them before the outdoor unit was set in place. From there we mounted and connected the indoor and outdoor equipment, ran the refrigerant piping between them and made the electrical connections.
Step 2
Refrigerant Piping and Drainage
The refrigerant line set and the drain line run along the wall to the outdoor unit. On the outside of the house the line set sits inside a cover, so the finished install looks tidy against the brick. Drainage was set up so condensate leaves the unit through its own line.
Step 3
Pressure Testing, Vacuum and Commissioning
Before the system ran for the first time, we pressure tested the refrigerant piping to check for leaks and pulled a vacuum on the lines to clear out air and moisture. Then we commissioned the heat pump and tested the full system to confirm it was running properly.
Project summary: a Mitsubishi heat pump installation in Innisfil, Ontario, completed in October 2026. The work included the indoor and outdoor equipment, refrigerant piping, electrical connections, drainage, a pressure test, vacuuming, commissioning and full system testing.
