Furnace

A natural gas or oil furnace is the central heating workhorse for most Toronto and GTA homes. It pulls cold air from your return ducts, heats it through a combustion chamber and heat exchanger, then pushes warm air back through the supply registers. The single spec that matters most is AFUE (Annual Fuel Utilization Efficiency): standard models run 80 to 83 percent, while high-efficiency condensing units hit 95 to 98 percent and qualify for Enbridge rebates.
For a typical 2,000 sq ft GTA home you’ll usually size between 60,000 and 100,000 BTU, but a proper Manual J load calculation beats any rule of thumb. We carry Lennox, KeepRite, Goodman, Tempstar, Comfortmaker, and Ruud across single-stage, two-stage, and modulating variable-speed configurations.
